Intelligent Energy Solutions are renewable energy specialists. Our wide product range enables us to make sure that our customers are aware of all the available options. This means we can tailor a system to specific circumstances and therefore provide maximum benefit.
Solar electricity panels generate electricity rather than
hot water. These systems can be grid connected or independent for
isolated locations. Wind turbines and solar electricity panels can
generate electricity that can be sold back to your electricity supplier.
Since April 2010 feed in tariffs (FiT) are available that pay larger sums to
system owners, this can give a return on investment of more than 10% per annum. The solar panels feed in tariff will be revised down at the end of March 2012 for new entrants. Payments for solar panel installations commissioned before April 2012 will be guaranteed for 25 years. The FiT will be revised down in line with current solar panel prices.
This change to the FiT scheme represents a significant change to the returns available for solar photovoltaic installations. While the returns on solar PV installations will still be attractive, they are likely to be less than systems installed pre April 2012. This is very likely to cause a massive surge of solar panel installations towards the end of 2011 and into the 2012. This is undoubtedly going to lead to shortages in the supply of inverters and certain solar modules. This may mean that some installations fail to be completed before the cut off. We would recommend anyone considering a solar PV installation before April 2012 to act as early as possible to ensure eligibility.

This type of solar collector is designed to use the sun's
energy to generate hot water for both domestic and commercial use by transferring heat from the collector to the storage cylinder.
This type of solar panel does not generate electricity however they can
be integrated with a heat pump system. Click the link below to find out
about how the government will pay system owners to generate heat, the
new scheme is called the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). Our solar panel pages also include detailed solar panel prices for registered users.
The RHI has been outlined as paying up to 18p/kWh for energy produced from solar thermal panels. For commercial applications this payment has now been confirmed at 8.5p/kWh.
Domestic solar panel installations will benefit from the Renewable Heat Premium which will pay home owners £300 towards the cost of installation.

Air source heat pumps extract heat from the air outside
your home. Similar to ground source systems, they use this heat to
provide you with central heating and hot water. Intelligent Energy
Solutions are approved installers of the Mitsubishi Ecodan air source
heat pump. This system has efficiencies of more than 300% and can provide
huge savings on your existing fuel bills. The new RHI outline suggests a payment of more than £1250 per year to system owners.
Similar to solar thermal panels, heat pumps may also be eligible for the Renewable Heat Premium (RHP). This could equate to £850 towards the cost of you air source heat pump installation.
Our air source heat pumps can be integrated with solar panels (both solar pv and solar thermal) and wood burners. We also have our exclusive Intelligent Heating control package that is able to control multiple Ecodan heat pump systems on a single heating distribution system.

Ground source (geothermal) heat pumps extract heat from the
ground and water outside your home that is then used to provide you with central heating and hot water. The systems offered by Intelligent
Energy Solutions have efficiencies, in most instances, of more than 400%. A
conventional boiler is approximately 70-90% efficient. These systems can
also be integrated with solar panels for assisting with water heating
or generating electricity. Find out about the new Renewable Heat
Incentive (RHI). The RHI for commercial projects has been confirmed at 4.5p/kWh. Domestic RHI is expected to be confirmed in 2012.
Similar to solar installations, domestic heat pumps may also be eligible for the Renewable Heat Premium (RHP). This will pay up to £1250 towards the cost of installation.
Our ground source heat pump installations can be integrated with our solar panel systems (photovoltaic and solar thermal panels).
