Planning Restrictions on Renewable Energy Installations Loosened
As of 6th April 2008 the government has amended the planning requirements on a number of renewable energy technologies.
In the future home owners will not need planning permission for renewable technologies such as solar hot water panels, solar electricity panels and ground source heat pumps.Planners have always looked favorably on renewable technology but these procedures have now been formalised. This will make the decision to purchase environmentally friendly products much easier for home owners.
