We are members of the Renewable Energy Assurance scheme (REAL). We are also approved installers for Mitsubishi and IVT heat pumps and bpec trained solar installers. To top it all we are government approved microgeneration installers, this means that our workmanship and procedures are regularly inspected by The Buildings Research Establishment to make sure we consistently exceed the governments standards for grant and incentive tariff approval.

Microgeneration Approved Installer

The microgeneration approved installer scheme replaced the Clear Skies and PV programme. The new scheme is designed to be more robust and to make sure that approved installers offer high quality products that have met and will continue to meet high quality standards. Using an approved installer means that if you are eligible you will have access to a large number of easily accessed grant funding streams. It also means that Intelligent Energy Solutions have undergone strict and thorough inspections of not only previous installations but also inspections of sales, design and installation procedures. Our inspections are carried out by The Buildings Research Establishment (BRE) who make sure that we comply with various installation quality requirements.

You should also be aware that the grant scheme is not targeted at a minority of people. For example the current funding stream targeted at domestic home owners (The Low Carbon Buildings Program) is very simple to gain approval through a simple on-line application. The site will tell you immediately whether you have been successful. Grants are available up to £1200.

REA Listed

The REAL Assurance Scheme outlines a consumer code. The code recognises that the customer has a right to expect that goods and services supplied will function properly and meet the quality standards that you would reasonably expect.

The code covers the following areas:-

• Pre-sales Activity
• Contracts
• Completion of Orders
• After-Sales Activity

Amongst other things the code sets out provision to ensure that sales staff do not employ the following techniques:-

• Remaining in your home for an unreasonable length of time
• Offer high initial prices followed by large discounts
• Offing a discount for signing immediately
• Withholding of price information until the end of the visit
• Making claims that there is limited availability of product

All customers also have a no penalty 7 working day cooling off period after signing a contract.
