We are members of the Renewable Energy Assurance scheme (REAL). We are
also approved installers for Mitsubishi and IVT heat pumps and bpec
trained solar panels installers. To top it all we are government approved
microgeneration installers, this means that our workmanship and
procedures are regularly inspected , to ensure we consistently exceed the Government’s standards for grant and incentive tariff approval.
Microgeneration Approved Installer (MCS)
The microgeneration approved installer scheme replaced the Clear Skies
and PV programme. The new scheme is designed to be more robust and to
make sure that approved installers offer high quality products, and that they have met and will continue to meet, high quality standards. Using an approved installer means that, if you are eligible, you will have access to a large number of easily accessed grant funding streams. It also proves that Intelligent Energy Solutions has undergone strict and thorough inspections of previous installations together with inspections of sales, design and installation procedures. Our inital inspections were carried out by The Buildings Research Establishment (BRE) who ensure competency and that we comply with various installation quality requirements. From January 2012 our accreditation and competent person scheme provider is Elecsa.
You should also be aware that the government incentive schemes (FiT, RHP & RHI) are targeted at households, businesses and the public sector.

The REAL Assurance Scheme outlines a consumer code. The code recognises
that the customer has a right to expect that goods and services supplied
will fu
nction properly and meet the quality standards that you would
reasonably expect.
The code covers the following areas:-

Amongst other things the code sets out provision to ensure that sales staff do not employ the following:-
- Remain in your home for an unreasonable length of time
- Offer high initial prices followed by large discounts

Make claims that there is limited availability of product
All customers also have a no penalty, 7 working days, cooling off period after signing a contract.

NHBC Safemark Scheme
Safemark was developed to help home builders meet their obligation to only appoint competent contractors.
The scheme is a pre-qualification assessment designed
around the
requirements of Appendix 4 of the Approved Code of Practice to CDM `07.
Competence is assessed against the criteria set out in Stage 1
including, amongst others, the requirements for contractors to have a
health and safety policy, access to competent health and safety advice
and to ensure employees are appropriately trained.

CSCS Approved Operatives
Intelligent Energy Solutions have CSCS Approved Operatives.
CSCS exists to meet industry needs and is managed by CSCS Limited whose Directors all come from the Construction Industry.
CSCS was set up to help the construction industry to improve quality and
reduce accidents. CSCS cards are demanded as proof of occupational
competence by contractors, public and private clients and others.
Approved Ecodan Installers Intelligent Energy Solutions was one of the first approved Ecodan Installers in the country. As a leading Mitsubishi installer we installed one of the first 14kW Ecodan systems in the UK (2008), we also installed one of the first Ecodan FTC3 Cylinder packages in 2011.
We strive for innovation, with support from the East Midlands Development Agency and The Construction iNet we developed a multiple heat pump controller that enables multiple heat pumps to run in harmony together. Following this success we developed an Ecodan system that can integrate with a wood burner and solar thermal system for heating and hot water.
