Market expansion
For many years the renewable energy market promised much but delivered little. This was due to limited technology, cheap energy, little governmental support and consumer apathy. This has now changed. Due to worldwide legislation stimulating
massive governmental support, renewables are now financially and practically viable for almost any
household or business. Current incentive schemes (the Feed in Tariff) support electricity generating products such as solar
photovoltaics; this product gives rapid returns on investment in excess of 10% per annum. Additionally, soaring energy bills and imminent incentives have increased the demand for heat pumps dramatically. On top of this, strict EU targets on reducing carbon emissions will see fossil fuel boilers outlawed in the near future. The Code for Sustainable Homes will require every new build to have some element of renewable technology within 2 years.
 About You
Our franchisees have a number of different roles to perform; after you have completed your initial training, you will be visiting customers in their own homes or business premises to listen to their needs and advise them on the best ways to reduce their energy costs and their impact on the environment. We never "hard sell" our systems, quite simply, we have never needed to! Our customers value the fact that we (and of course, you) can offer a full range of product solutions, often custom designing installations to utilise more than one of our systems.
Once the system has been specified then your role changes to one of Project Manager. This will mean liaising with our teams of qualified installers to agree schedules, checking that the materials are available and, most importantly, keeping your customer updated with regular feedback and progress reports.
As your reputation spreads throughout your territory you will find, as we did, that your customers recommend you to their friends, families and business associates - this is why it is so key to your success that you look after the customers well - they are your very best adverts!
Becoming a Franchisee
As a Franchisee you will receive all of the training, support and guidance necessary to get your business up and running quickly and painlessly, reducing the risks normally associated with business start-ups as you will be following our own proven system. We are receiving enquiries every day for areas we cannot reach, so these will of course be passed straight across to you but we will train you to find your own customers too, ensuring you can grow your business as quickly as you like.
 Work from Home
Initially you will be able to work from home, but as your business expands we will work with you to assist you to grow, help you identify premises, locate staff and find customers. Most importantly, we are committed to ensuring your business succeeds, so we will always be on hand to help you grow your business.
There will be investment required, and building any new business requires hard work and dedication, but running your own business is hugely rewarding in so many ways - and not just financially!
The Investment
The Intelligent Energy Solutions Franchise is just £22,500 + VAT (the VAT will be reclaimable) and includes all of the equipment and training necessary to get your business up and running. It is always sensible to allow for some extra working capital to begin with and so we recommend that you budget around £30,000 to get you started, but we can discuss this all in more detail further down the line
 Can I get Finance?
We have good relationships with the main High Street banks, most of whom will advance you around 50% of the funding required. They will of course require you to present them with a business plan showing how you intend to build your business, and we will be pleased to assist you in the production of this. This means that with just £15,000 liquid capital, you could be on the way to a whole new future in this exciting and dynamic market.
