Government Set to Cut Green Subsidies Further

Government Set to Cut Green Subsidies Further

Published on 21/07/2015

The BBC has learnt that green taxes which fund the solar Feed in Tariff (FiT) and Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) for electricity and heat generating renewable energy systems is set to be cut in the Autumn.
Last month the Government confirmed the end of the Feed in Tariff for on shore wind turbines.  We can only expect other technologies to follow suit.

The BBC source said that a "Big Reset" is coming this Autumn and "There is a hardening view in the cabinet that we've got to deal with green subsidies," the source added.

This type of change is likely to lead to a massive rush for renewables  so if you you are considering a system you should not delay.
